Implementation of The Iqra Method in Teaching Early Childhood Quran Reading

Abstract

The process of imparting Quranic education to early childhood learners has witnessed various teaching methodologies over the years. The Iqra method, rooted in its phonetic and systematic approach, has garnered attention as an effective technique for teaching Quranic reading to young children. This study delves into the implementation and impact of the Iqra method in the context of teaching Quranic reading to early childhood learners. This research aims to determine the implementation of the Iqro' method as the foundation for early childhood Quranic reading abilities. The study employs a library research approach to obtain comprehensive and in-depth information related to the research objective. Data sources for this study are derived from various journals. The findings from multiple journals indicate an improvement in reading abilities through the implementation of the Iqro' method. This demonstrates that a significant number of children easily comprehend and enjoy using the Iqro' method, enabling them to read the Quran fluently with proper tajweed. In conclusion, the implementation of the Iqra method shows promise in enhancing early childhood Quranic reading skills
