Abstract

In Islamic teachings, the concept of humanity as Allah's stewards on Earth places a significant responsibility on the shoulders of human beings to preserve and care for the universe as a divine heritage. The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning and implications of this concept, highlighting human responsibility to conserve nature, maintain ecosystem balance, and use natural resources wisely. Additionally, this research delves into the social and spiritual dimensions of the human role as stewards, including the importance of upholding social justice, promoting peace, and fostering harmonious relationships between humans and nature. The method employed in this study is library research, utilizing a type of library research based on the search for several articles, journals, and other scholarly works related to pre-defined keywords. Subsequently, the researcher gathers and selects all sources to draw conclusions. The findings of the study indicate that by understanding their role as stewards, human beings are expected to fulfill their responsibilities with full awareness and concern, realizing a vision of sustainability and justice in preserving the divine heritage on Earth
